Rechargeable batteries are key factors in determining the added value of the energy industry in terms of cost, performance, safety, and the demand for associated technologies is growing rapidly due to carbon-zero requirements, the popularity of electric vehicles, energy storage for renewable energy and technology convergence & digitalization.
ARBL is intended to dramatically improve existing technology and discover new materials, cells and systems that will create and service new energy markets. Our detailed research focus includes : advanced materials and devices for next-generation rechargeable batteries including advanced Li-ion, solid-state batteries, aqueous based non-Li chemistry, Li-S batteries etc.
These focus area will allow us to accommodate the ever-increasing demand for energy including electric vehicles, aircraft, ship and various ranges of energy storage applications while satisfying the urgent needs to address environmental sustainability.
