With the intention of integrating learning and living, the RC House system hosts diverse RC programs of intellectual activities and traditions. In addition to class lectures, each House runs a collection of weekly language and interest tables that provide informal opportunities for students with a common interest to meet, exchange ideas, or learn particular skills. Houses are places where learning occurs all the time, whether in the dining hall as students share a meal with faculty and visiting scholars or in House tutorials and RC seminars taken for 4-degree credits.
RC programs extend the classroom into the RC Houses and complement the academic curriculum with activities and experiences essential to students' preparation for a life of leadership, intellectual engagement, citizenship, and service. They feature a wide range of activities and opportunities, from the KENTECH student councils to special academic and cultural programs such as Energy School, E-Leader Forum, KENTECH Reader, Master's Teas, Creative and Performing Arts events, intramural athletic competitions, and beyond.
